My first blogger award! I am so excited. With it comes a few rules:

Share 7 things about myself.
1. I am a mom and a wife...and a darn good one at that:) Both of these jobs are the hardest and yet most rewarding jobs I have ever had and will ever have. The laughter, tears, stories, scraped knees, hugs, kisses, tantrums, sickness...are all things that I have learned to embrace and know that these are all things that help me grow as a person, friend, daughter, mom, and wife.






2. I get excited about Scholastic book orders! When my daughters bring them home from school we all sit down, crayon in hand, and attack the book filled pages with circles around the ones we want the most. I remember doing this when I was a little girl and I love passing on the love of books to my daughters.




3. Bedtime is my favorite time of day. This time of night gives me peace. I love cuddling up with my kids to read their bedtime stories. I love giving "just one more hug" to the girls. I love peeking in on each of them before I go to bed to make sure they are warm enough and peaceful. I also enjoy bedtime because that means I get some one-on-one time with my wonderful hubby. It is our time to reconnect, share stories from our day, and relax together.






4. I am a strong woman. A good friend (she knows who she is) said this to me the other day and it meant more to me than she could possibly know. By strong I mean mentally strong...don't ask me to open a jar of pickles...my husband does that for me:) I have endured many frustrations and heartache in my life, but I am able to find the good in things and the possibility of hope in moments of darkness.




5. I love the movie Pretty Woman. One of my all. time. favorite. movies. I could seriously watch it over and over...love it!




6. Fall is my favorite season. I love the changing leaves, the crisp (but not cold) air, Nebraska football games, warm sweatshirts, camping, and the beginning of a new school year!




7. My New Year's Resolution is to be content in the moment and not be thinking about what's next. I often find myself thinking ahead to the next thing instead of living in the moment and enjoying it.
