Catching Up!!

Our mommy has been a little busy with us the last month, so we decided to help her out and update the blog. We figured it was the least we could do!! Well, let's see, where should we start? I guess it's appropriate to start with us...we turned 6 months on the 11th of this month and we are growing like weeds (at least that's what Mommy says). We are talking up a storm to our sisters and love when they play, sing, and read to us. They are so funny.





Landon's take:
Well, I can roll over both ways but I much prefer to crawl and scoot to get what I need...look out mom and dad I'm on the move! I am sitting up and love to look around at everything. I especially love taking whatever my brother has...his paci, his toys, his blanky...you name it...I'll take it! Mom and Dad have been giving me this food stuff: carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, pears, and bananas...cereal is my favorite, the others make me gag and some are even sour...what are they thinking?? I went to see Dr. Hertenstein last week, he scared me at first and he had to give me back to Mommy, but after a while I was ok. I weighed 18lbs 5oz and was 26 7/8in long! I am a pretty happy boy, and I love when people talk to me, I even talk back. They don't seem to understand me yet, but it makes total sense to me. I think Cole gets me though, we like to smile and talk to each other. Well, enough about me, I'll let Cole take over now...




Cole's take:
As the official "baby" of the family I will go second...I used to be able to at least say that I weighed more than my brother, but now he takes that too...I am 17lbs 7oz and am 26 2/3in long. Don't worry, I will catch up soon and teach him a lesson! I love to play in my exersaucer, it has so much music and so many toys to play with that sometimes I don't know where to start! I like it when my Mommy and Daddy cuddle with me, and especially love when my sisters tickle my tummy and my thighs...I laugh and laugh. I am sitting up pretty well and actually love my food more than my brother...hmmmm...why does he weigh more then? (Mommy still says I'm getting to be a big boy though.) I like playing with Landon, that kid cracks me up, we roll on each other and touch each other's faces, he even tells me jokes!




What's that? You want to hear about what my sisters and my mommy and daddy have been up to too...well...they've been busy too!

Kennedy is doing well, she has been a little frustrated with her diabetes this summer, but she is so brave. We sure hope we are as strong as her when we grow up. She has been playing with her friends a lot this summer, and wow, you should see her swim...she's a fish! She jumps in without her floaties, swims underwater, and even dives to the bottom of the pool...she's amazing! Kennedy is very excited for school to start again, she loves it! She will go to Pre-K for one more year before Kindergarten. We will miss her when she is at school, but we know how happy it makes her. We love Kennedy so much, she is a great big sister!

Reagan is hilarious...she tells us stories, sings to us, and dances up a storm. Mommy says she is her "right-hand girl" because she loves to help out with us so much. Reagan has been swimming, riding her trike, chalking, and playing a ton too. She gets to go to school this year too! We can't believe it! She is going to go to Pre-School and she even got a new Hello Kitty backpack...it is so cool! Reagie is great and we love her very much too!

Mommy & Daddy celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary this month...they sure seem to love each other a lot! My sisters say gross when they kiss...but we don't mind! Daddy took off a week to go to Colorado with us...it was so much fun, but Mommy said it was a lot of work packing us all up...guess we require lots of gear!! Mommy has been home all summer with us & boy have we all loved that. She says she has to go back to work soon and she tears up a little, but we give her great big slobbery kisses and it seems to help!

World of Fun




Uncle Dan visited us all the way from Phoenix! We even got to go with him, Uncle Chris, and Caroline to our first Royals game...Go Royals!!







We roadtripped all the way to Breckenridge, CO!! We were there for a week and celebrated the 4th of July there! All of the Herrig family was there and we got to meet our cousins Luke & Grace for the first time...it was a lot of fun! Mommy, Daddy, Kennedy & Reagan went on a bike ride, we all went on a Gondola ride, Kennedy moon jumped, they got to ride on a mountain slide with Mommy & Uncle Dan, we had a bonfire, played lots with our cousins, and just enjoyed being with family.

The girls loved our trip to Kaleidoscope...they made so many neat things. Daddy even met us for a little bit. We were so proud of Mommy for taking us out all by herself...since we know how hard that can be, we decided to be really good that day!










Just last Saturday we got to stay home with Papa Benson and the girls and Mommy and Daddy went to Theater in the Park to see Cinderella. Here are some fun pictures of them with Cinderella & the evil step-mother.
