1) She was line leader (a very important job)
2) Her class read a book about diabetes to learn more about Kennedy
3) She got to bring Scooby Doo fruit snacks for her birthday treats, adn
4) Her class took their first field trip to the Liberty Fire Station
I was fortunate enough to drive Kennedy and a school friend to the field trip and spend the morning with her. They watched a video about fire safety, checked out the firemen's sleeping and living quarters, watched a fireman climb the big ladder, walk through a fire truck and ambulance, and finally watch a fireman put his gear on. Kennedy had so much fun and it was great getting to see her interact with her friends and teachers. She also took her line leader job very seriously and would run to the front of the group and let everyone know she was line leader. We had to talk about how you are line leader at school, but on a field trip it is more of a group thing. So funny!
