Boy oh Boy!

I haven't officially posted on our blog that we are going to be proud parents and big sisters to two twin boys!! We are all so excited and can't wait to meet them. Kennedy was a little concerned about them being boys, but was quickly convinced that boys liked Scooby Doo too, so her approval was given. I have to go to a perinatal doctor every 4 weeks to check on the boys' hearts, kidneys, and growth due to an abnormality of their umbilical cords. We went today and all looks perfect...yeah! Such a relief to us.

We haven't officially decided on names yet, but will post as soon as we have. The preparations for the boys has begun. Kennedy has moved rooms to the guest room. We painted and "girled" it up for her and she loves it. Reagan inherited Kennedy's big girl furniture and is officially sleeping in her big girl bed. The boys' room is still under construction...we are thinking a sports theme...big surprise to all of you who know Ben. We will post pictures of all the rooms once complete:)

3-23-09 Kennedy: Here sweetie, sit down so you don't fall.

Reagan: Ok Kenny

Kennedy: Good job sweetie, you are such a good sweetie.

3-20-09 Kennedy: Mom, who can I marry?

Mom: I thought you were going to marry Papa?

Kennedy: No, that would make Grammy sad.

Mom: What about Carter? (her new diabetic friend)

Kennedy: No, his kisses are too kissy. (wow!! how did she find that out?)

Mom: What about Chris?

Kennedy: Is he married?

Mom: No

Kennedy: Ok, I will marry Chris Benson. Can I call and ask him? (by the way...he accepted the proposal:))

1-16-09 Mommy- "Wow Kennedy, you colored all of their noses blue."

Kennedy- "Yeah Mom, it was no problem."

1-11-09 We were reading books at Barnes and Noble and I was trying to get Kennedy to look at this wall display...she looked at me calmly, held up her hand and said..."Mom, chill, just chill." I about died!!

11-1-08* Oops...a little help here. * I just need to be alone here. (and she went downstairs and shut the door)* Mom, when Reagan cries we just laugh right?

8-25-08 At church yesterday Kennedy told me it was time to go because church is riducurous (ridiculous)!!

7-25-08 Kennedy is hearing and picking up on more and more. She knows there are certain words she can and can't say so she asks us before she says certain words to see if it is ok. She has even figured out that if she wants to say a word she is not supposed to that she makes up a new meaning for it. Apparently crap means hello in her world.

6-8-08 Today Kennedy kept going into the downstairs bathroom and shutting herself in. When she would come out she would whisper "Mom, I just said shut up in there." Ben and I listened carefully and sure enough she was yelling it in the bathroom and then coming out. I guess all of us need some private time right?

Reagan's Rants

3-23-09 When Reagan gets up in the morning she looks at us and says: How are you? When we answer good she waits for us to ask her and she always replies, "good."

3-23-09 As we were leaving the park yesterday Reagan ran away from the van and back to the park:

Mom: Reagan, come back here.

Reagan: No

Mom: Do you want to go to timeout?

Reagan: No

Mom: Then come back here right now

Reagan: (Holding her finger up) I'm comin mama, just minute.

1-11-09 Reagan got up from her nap and wanted a toy of hers that we couldn't find...she pointed at the door and said, "Go get it Mom." It was clear as day...had to chuckle a little. She is putting lots of words together to form sentences now...such a big girl. She says: pease (please), thank um (thank you), shake it shake it, are you? (when she is looking for someone), and she calls Kennedy, Kenny.

11-1-08* No, No, No, No... (you get the picture!)* wuv oo (love you)* that ucky (pointing at some mud)* fre fry (french fries-when we pulled up to McDonalds for lunch)
