Wow, Landon has stolen my heart. His bright, piercing, blue eyes; his constant chatter; his ornery smile and giggle; his wonderful kisses and hugs...I find myself laughing a lot around him. He returns my love each day when he runs and giggles to greet me as I return from work, and when he repeats his new favorite word, "Mommy."
Landon's stats (up to 14 months):
Bedtime: Landon goes to sleep at 7:30pm most nights. We read a book, say our prayers, and then he snuggles up to his blankie and falls asleep on his own. He sleeps through the night until 6:00am. Then he will drink a glass of milk, play a little, and sometimes sleep again until about 7:00. I love getting him out of his crib in the morning, because he is always leaning his arms over the edge of his crib just waiting for me to pick him up.
Naps: Morning naps are still a regular occurrence in our house. He lays down around 9 and will sleep for an hour to two hours. In the afternoon, Landon lays back down around 1 and sleeps for about an hour to and hour and a half. I am thinking we are going to start just one nap in the afternoon soon...I will keep you posted on how that goes!
Eating: Landon LOVES peas! When you give him mixed veggies he picks out the peas. Landon is actually a pretty neat eater and will sit and eat, and eat, and eat, as long as you keep putting food in front of him. He has been very interested in feeding himself with silverware lately. He had a bowl of rice krispies and milk for breakfast and was determined to do it himself!
Favorite Toys: Landon is a boy after his Daddy's heart. He loves playing basketball. He actually went into the basement all by himself one afternoon, picked up a ball, dunked the ball in our basketball hoop, and then clapped for himself. It was hilarious! Wherever there is a ball...Landon will find it. He also LOVES to be outside. He will definitely enjoy spring!
Firsts/Milestones: Landon is no longer walking...he is running everywhere! Now that he has mastered crawling up and down the stairs, Landon has decided to give Mommy and Daddy a heart attack and try to walk up and down the stairs (not very successfully I might add). Landon is our gabber, he loves to just talk and talk and talk, and he stops and then scrunches his eyes up and fake laughs...it is so funny. He does it with a phone to his ear or just talking to you in person. It's amazing the things that he is starting to understand. When you tell him "bath time", he runs to the stairs and heads straight for the bathroom. He also understands "let's play", patty cake, "give kisses", and his all time favorite to mock, "no,no,no!" Landon can also find his belly and his hair!
Teeth: Landon has 2 teeth. They are both on the bottom.
I could go on and on about all the things Landon is doing and learning each day. He is such a blessing and is so loved by his big sisters and his entire family.
I'm a big boy now, so I get a big boy carseat.
I love to explore...even if it is under the table.
